The Merced County Junior Olympics is an annual three-day event held at Merced College Stadium that allows our local K-8 track and field stars to shine!
The event is co-sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Merced and the Merced County Parks and Recreation Department. The Kiwanis Club of Merced raises funds to support the event while the Merced County Parks and Recreation Department handles registration and field organization. Both groups provide volunteer labor for the event. The KIWINS’ club of Merced High school, a youth community service organization sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Merced, also provides lots of volunteer energy on and off the field. 2009 marked the 65th annual event!
